Carpe Diem Now

'Carpe Diem' said the classic, and Vodafone echoed with a 'Make the most of now' campaign. But why do we think that it means doing things?

It can't be sitting in a beach staring at the sea unless it is in a far away tropical island.

It can't be lying in the grass and thinking about how insignificant our lives are compared to the stars above unless you are over a dune in the Gobi.

It can't be sipping a machiatto and playing the game of people watching unless you are in Rome or in Paris.

'Make the most of now' is not appended with a 'somewhere else'. The important part here is now.

Wrong.

The important part is that you, and only you, can decide what is the meaning of 'important'.
